Mission Statement
Black Diamonds’ supporter group is a safe space for Black, Indigenous, and Persons of Color(BIPOC) soccer fans to unite at New Mexico United matches and local soccer community events. Since Black Diamonds launched in 2021, the group has set its goals to grow Black fandom in soccer, diversify soccer attendance on match days, and ensure BIPOC youth have access to soccer.
Black Diamonds come from various walks of life and different backgrounds. At the Diamond District (our hosted event space), we are a safe place to celebrate and elevate Black Culture, Community, and Intersectionality. We welcome all who wish to be involved in a community whose focus will be to uplift Black Culture, Community, and Intersectionality. If you have questions please don't hesitate to ask, we will always be more than happy to answer any of your questions.
Black Diamonds does not tolerate or condone discrimination, abuse, harassment, or violence of any individuals on any grounds including, but not limited to, race, ethnicity, national origin, legal status, religion, socioeconomic status, education, language, age, gender identity, LGBTQIA+, sexual orientation, mental ability, or physical capability. We reject violence, both verbal, via social media, and physical. We want all supporters to enjoy the soccer experience.
We want you to have Fun, Fun Fun, all Diamond Cutters are encouraged to cheer, sing, chant, wave flags, and otherwise support New Mexico United while remaining respectful and courteous to their fellow patrons, referees, opposing team fans, and players. Chants, banter, etc that attack a person’s race, ethnicity, national origin, legal status, religion, socioeconomic status, education, language, age, gender identity, LGBTQIA+, sexual orientation, mental ability, or physical capability. will not be tolerated.
The following types of behavior may be considered harassment:
1. Verbal: doxing, personal attacks, attempts to bully, insulting or humiliating remarks, offensive remarks, threatening or intimidating others.
2. Physical: unwanted touching, pushing, shoving, kicking, tripping, assault, or damage to a person’s property.
3. Sexual/Racial/Other: Abusive conduct to a person based on assumptions of that person’s race, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, physical or mental disability, national origin, or religion.
How you conduct yourself in and outside the stadium, at watch parties, tailgates, and online reflects on all members and supporters. Violation of any of the above-mentioned articles may be deemed grounds for dismissal from an event.
In Stadium Rules and Standards:
1. No supporter should enter or attempt to enter the field of play during, before, or aftergames without prior authorization from the home club.
2. Venue rules and the instructions of venue personnel should always be followed. All applicable laws shall be followed at all times. Violation(s) of this Code of Conduct maybe grounds for suspension or the revoking of membership
3. Throwing items of any kind on the field or in the stands is not allowed.
4. Members and guests should always follow the instructions of stadium staff regarding stadium policies, safety procedures, and emergency response procedures.

DISCIPLINARY ACTION
Disciplinary Actions will apply to ALL Diamond Cutters. All infractions will be documented, and records will be kept by Black Diamonds. Each Diamond Cutter has a responsibility to report any violation(s) of the Code of Conduct to any Black Diamonds board member. All Warnings issued will first be discussed between our board members, then disciplinary actions if any will be passed to the member at fault.
Members on Probation: Member will not be allowed to attend any Black Diamond Events including Watch Parties and Tailgates. Member may attend away matches or matches played at Isotopes Park. Member on probation will not be allowed to participate in any Black Diamonds contest or volunteer opportunities.
Board Members who violate any part of our Code of Conduct will be immediately removed from their positions after the second infraction. As board members, we are held to the highest of standards. We need to always create a safe welcoming environment for all of our Diamond Cutters.
1. 1st Infraction
a. Members will receive a verbal warning.
b. This infraction does not carry over and is only active for the current season.
2. 2nd Infraction
a. Members will receive a written and verbal warning
b. Member will be placed on probation for the remainder of the season or
c. Board Members will decide on whether to cancel a membership for the remainder of the season or indefinitely.**
